Mary Louise Benham Romano

I married my high school sweetheart, Victor Romano. We just celebrated our 39th anniversary! Vic and I were married while he was in the Navy and I was attending the Philadelphia College of Office Training. We are retired now, Vic after working 35 years at Mobil/Valero and me after working 32 years as an Executive Assistant in the mortgage business followed by the technology business. We continue collecting and selling antique military items and together we do Civil War Shows. We enjoy traveling to Gettysburg, Colorado, Florida and down the shore and are planning a trip to Las Vegas to get remarried on our 40th anniversary [I was floored when Vic proposed to me recently for the second time!] We have 2 really cool children - Matthew and Angela and 2 grandchildren - Charles 6 years old and Indiana 3 years old [Indi is a girl]. Our son Matthew moved to Colorado and is a successful glass blower/artist and the father of Charlie. Our daughter Angela lives in Cherry Hill with her husband Chris. Anj is a graduate of Moore College of Art and manages Kevin O'Brien Studios in Philadelphia where they design and manufacture their own techniques to create some very unique velvet and other fabrics into American made organic bedding, clothing and artwork. Our son-in law Chris works in marketing for AAA in their corporate office in Delaware. Over the years we have been transcribing Civil War letters that we bought at an antique show. These letters were written by a New Jersey soldier to his family during the war. Our book [Long Marches, Short Rations] will be published in 2010 with a little luck! Vic and I are so thankful for all we have after all these years together. My family of 5 brothers and sisters and his family of 3 brothers along with their extended families and our personal family is the most precious gift we could ever imagine!
